NOVEL PRINCIPLES OF MICROWAVE BAND RADIOELECTRONIC DEVICES DESIGN WITH THE USE OF MICROWAVE PHOTONICS TECHNOLOGY 55

Abstract
There are highlighted fundamental and practical advantages referred to introduction of the new interdisciplinary scientific and technological direction, that is, microwave photonics, in modern and perspective radio means of a dual purpose. The main advantages consist in increase of operating frequency to terahertz range, expansion of a processing band to several gigahertz, improvement of electromagnetic compatibility and mass-volume characteristics. A classification of the component base of microwave photonics is proposed, the modern level of world development of microwave photonics with emphasis on its second stage, which is integrated microwave photonics, is analyzed. The works in the field of microwave photonics that have been performed or being conducted by research groups at Moscow Technological University, including results of modeling and research projects, training, and the nearest tasks of the established Scientific and Technological Center «Integrated Microwave Photonics» are briefly described.

Keywords: microwave photonics, terahertz band, computer modeling, microwave integrated circuits, silicon photonics, VCSEL.

CHINA-RUSSIA N SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COOPERATION: SITUATION, PROBLEM AND SUGGEST 13

Abstract
This paper deals with the Chinese-Russian scientific and technological cooperation problem from the strategic partnership point of view. It has been shown that nowadays Chinese-Russian scientific and technological contacts are becoming closer, the fields and scope of their activities are broadening and deepening. At the same time, there are several problems in scientific and technological col-laboration of both countries such as: rather low activity, scientific brainpower lack, investment shortage. The author has concluded with his own recommendations upon the illumination of the problems mentioned.

Keywords: scientific and technological cooperation, China, Russia, state, problems, suggestions.

ABOUT DISTRIBUTION ON THE GRANULE SIZE IN NANOCOMPOSITES 18

Abstract
In this work we have presented the theoretical study of the size grain distribution in nanocomposites. The importance of the consideration of distribution, its relation with the size effect, influencing the theoretical description of nanocomposite optical and magneto-optical spectra, mainly in the near-IR region have been demonstrated. It has been also shown that the size effect can change the amplitude, form and sign of the optical and magneto-optical spectra. We have developed the formulas for the size effect as well as considered the distribution applications for the correct description of the optical and magneto-optical properties with regard to the grain size effect.

Keywords: size effect, nanocomposites, optical and magneto-optical spectra, distribution.

THE INFLUENCE OF INTERCHANNEL CORRELATION OF THE DESIRED SIGNALS, BEING COMBINED, ON MULTICHANNEL DETECTORS PERFORMANCE, USING METHODS OF SELECTION BY MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM 13

Abstract
The comparative efficiency analysis of two ways of multiplexing based on minimum and maximum selection methods has been carried out. It has been shown that minimum selection method is less effective than the maximum one for independent channels. Minimum selection method approaches efficiency of the maximum selection one when considering interchannel desired signal correlation. However this consideration implies the efficiency decrease of maximum selection method, while improving the efficiency of minimum selection one.

Keywords: multichannel detectors, multiplexing based on maximum and minimum selection methods, detection performances, interchannel correlation.

ANALYSIS OF DISTORTIONS IN HIGH-FREQUENCY PULSE ACOUSTIC SIGNALS WITH LINEAR FREQUENCY MODULATION IN A HYDROACOUSTIC COMMUNICATION CHANNELS 9

Abstract
The article deals with the distortion of high-frequency acoustic pulses with linear frequency modulation (LFM) in a hydroacoustic communication channel, which is caused by uneven frequency at-tenuation characteristics of the marine environment. The paper considers pulses with rectangular, sinusoidal and «raised cosine» type envelopes.

Ключевые слова: acoustic pulse, frequency deviation, the envelope, hydroacoustic communication channel, attenuation characteristics of the marine environment, the oscillating part, aperiodic part, precursor, post-cursor, phase modulation, amplitude modulation.

MEASUREMENT OF MOVEMENT OF OBJECTS BY THE HETERODYNE METHOD 9

Abstract
In this paper the issues of object movements measurement by the heterodyne method have been considered. It has been shown that nowadays in order to measure linear movements various kinds of methods are used. It has been found that interferential methods have the highest accuracy of measurements. It also has been defined that the majority of these methods is based on calculating the number of interferential fringes when objects shift, that does not allow to resolve ambiguity in the object location; and the interferential methods realization based on the frequency shift of interfering beams (heterodyne interferometry) are used for the absolute measurements of the object’s location. It has been demonstrated that when realizing these methods two-frequency lasers are required. As they are rather difficult optical and electronic systems, they hinder their application in measuring devices. The nonambiguity resolution method in the definition of the object easurement range, allowing elimination of the drawbacks specified, has been offered.

Keywords: measurement, linear movements, objects, heterodyne method, interferential methods, two-frequency laser, acousto-optical modulator of beams.
